Having spent my career in human health, I had some reservations about entering into the completely new field of veterinary health. These fears were quickly assuaged when I met the team at Tangerine. Their absolute commitment to quality, coupled with the genuine care they take in developing the very best products is admirable. I’m really looking forward to working with the team to ensure science is front and centre, and that the company builds on its already formidable foundations.

I enjoy getting stuck in with all the opportunities Tangerine has to offer. I’m really excited being part of the design team and to create some amazing artwork to support the business. My long term goal is to grow along side Tangerine and look forward to all the new skills and challenges i'll encounter.

My role, It’s not just a Research & Development role, it involves everything to do with a product from start to finish, so it’s diverse. There aren’t many products within the VetPlus portfolio that I haven’t worked on in one way or another, including some of the bigger ones, in terms of sales numbers, like Synoquin and Promax. With the Calmex launch, we ran the clinical trial, which I organised. I've been with Tangerine since 2010

I like the people here and the fact that you can be dynamic and change things – we can make decisions quickly. It’s been very rewarding so far and I want us to grow even further. Over the next five years we’re aiming to take on more people and reach £1m turnover.

I did my clinical placements at a foster practice in Barnsley and by chance, a vet was leaving at the time I was graduating so it was pretty much a guarantee that I would go from being a student with them to becoming a vet. I stayed there for two and a half years and then started looking for a practice that just did farm and small animals as this had become my main area of interest. After spells working at a small animal practice and at Vets4Pets, I then decided I wanted to change it up and move away from clinical work to try something different, with more sociable hours and a more stable rota. That’s how I ended up at VetPlus and I have been here nearly four years now,
