The Role
As a Production Planner, you’ll be at the heart of our manufacturing operations, working closely with the Operations Director and key stakeholders to ensure the availability of finished goods in line with company objectives. You’ll lead the Sales and Operations planning process, develop production schedules, and manage stock movements to optimise efficiency and meet customer demand.
Key Responsibilities
Develop annual production plans and identify gaps
Lead the Sales & Operations planning process
Oversee and optimise production schedules with the Production Manager
Maintain minimum/maximum levels of Work In Progress (WIP)
Manage batch usage and stock movement within the Stock Management System (e.g., SAGE)
Control generation of new item codes and Bills of Materials (BOM)
Provide KPI reports on conformance to plan, machine efficiency, and production waste
Specific Duties Include:
Preparing 12-week manufacturing schedules based on forecasts and stock levels
Liaising with Purchasing, Quality Control, and Marketing to ensure smooth operations
Generating monthly order requirements for UK and subsidiaries
Allocating batches efficiently and reconciling wastage in line with regulations
Driving continuous improvement initiatives with senior management
About You
You’ll have strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience with stock management systems and production planning is essential, along with excellent communication skills to collaborate across departments.
Pay and Conditions:
Monday – Friday 8-5, fully on-site
22 days holiday, plus bank holidays (increasing to 25 days after 2 calendar years’ service)
