We are seeking a Product Development Scientist to join our team on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Head of Research and Development, you will help support the growth and evolution of our product portfolio, ensuring we remain market leaders in the animal health market.

What you'll be doing:
• Market Awareness: Stay up-to-date with industry developments. Attend International trade shows and provide feedback to drive innovation.
• Research and Innovation: Research new ingredients, product, packaging and technology. Be inquisitive and open-minded to drive creative product development and continuous improvement.
• Working on a Variety of Projects: You’ll be working on projects covering the entire product life-cycle, from early stage research and concept development, to laboratory formulation and manufacturing up-scale. No two projects are the same, giving you a varied mix of project work, to keep you interested and engaged.
• Cross-Department Liaison: Work with Quality, Regulatory, Operations, Engineering, Marketing, Design, and Sales to ensure successful and timely project completion.
• Relationship Building: Develop relationships with suppliers, our veterinary customers and industry key opinion leaders to drive product development.
• Clinical Trials: Help to scope and support trials with customers and academic establishments.
• Troubleshooting: Manage and resolve issues with existing products. Work closely with our Quality, Manufacturing and Engineering teams to identify issues and drive efficiency in our manufacturing plant.
• Documentation: Create and manage technical documentation and maintain supply chains.
• Training: Science and business are constantly evolving and we want our employees to have the necessary tools to thrive in the workplace. You will be given opportunities to learn and development new skills.
About you:
We are looking for someone who is:
• A BSc (2.1 or above) in Biological Science, Veterinary, Nutrition, Pharmacology, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 1 year industrial experience in a related field.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A passion for continuous learning and professional development.
• A flexible working attitude.
• The ability to work both autonomously and as part of a broader team.
• Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
